Cross-border care

Your parents are there. You are here.

Three hundred thousand people in Canada are managing an ageing parent in India from twelve thousand kilometres away, mostly over WhatsApp, mostly at 2am. The arrangement fails at the same point every time: nobody local owns it.

What is actually included

A monthly fee, quoted in CAD, with the care itself billed at the local rate and shown to you in full.

  • A named coordinator

One person in your parent's city, paid to be accountable, who you can phone. Not a call centre and not a rotating inbox. This is the part that fails when families arrange it themselves.

  • Attendant and nursing care

Day attendants, live-in attendants, and nursing visits for wounds, injections or post-hospital care. Quoted as a monthly figure in CAD, not an hourly rate you have to convert.

  • Hospital escort and appointments

Someone with your parent at the appointment, taking notes, and sending you the summary the same day in your time zone.

  • A monthly written report

What changed, what the doctor said, what was spent, and photographs. Delivered at your local morning, not theirs.

  • Errands and paperwork

Pharmacy, bill payment, pension life certificates, bank visits and home maintenance — the things that quietly consume a sibling who lives nearby.

  • The nominated emergency contact

Someone within thirty minutes with a key, who knows they are the nominee. This cannot be arranged from abroad and it is the first thing we set up.

What it costs, and how the money works

CAD 149

a month, coordinationOne coordinator, monthly report, escort and errands included

  • Care itself billed at the local rate, shown in full
  • No markup on the caregiver's pay
  • Cancel with one month's notice

The currency trap

Paying Indian invoices from a Canadian card usually costs 2–4% in a spread nobody quotes you. We settle in INR locally against a monthly cap you set, and show you the rate used on every statement.

Agree in writing what is included. Attendant care in India is often quoted as a 12- or 24-hour rate with food and accommodation assumptions attached — a different shape of contract from a Canadian hourly rate.

Cities we cover

  • Delhi NCR
  • Pune
  • Bengaluru
  • Chennai
  • Hyderabad
  • Kochi
  • Chandigarh
  • Mumbai

Somewhere else? Tell us the city — we add one when we have found a coordinator we would use for our own family, and not before.

Start with a conversation, not a form

Tell us the city, who is nearby, and what has already gone wrong. Most of these calls end with a plan that costs less than the family expected, because the expensive part is usually the lack of coordination rather than the care.
