Staffed 24 hours with personal care, medication administration and meals included at a defined level. In Ontario the term is used loosely and overlaps with retirement homes offering heavy care packages.
Why it matters
Ask what is in the base rate and what triggers a care-level increase. Two residences quoting the same number can mean very different things.
