Live-in care
Requires the caregiver to have their own room and, by law, eight uninterrupted hours overnight. Priced per day rather than per hour — typically $265 to $320 in the GTA.
Why it matters
Live-in is not the same as 24-hour care. If your parent needs help during those eight hours, you need an overnight caregiver as well, which changes the price completely.
